We’re looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who wants to make a real impact without sacrificing quality of life.
Black Dog Medical is a membership-based primary care practice in Lamoine, Maine — 10 minutes from Ellsworth and about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We’re a small, adult-only practice with no procedures, phlebotomy, or immunizations. Just thoughtful, relationship-based care.
We love our office, modeled after old-fashioned doctors offices.
You’re a great fit for our part-time CMA role if you:
- Love technology and pick up new tools quickly (we use modern, HIPAA-compliant EMR software)
- Are highly organized with strong follow-through
- Communicate clearly — in writing and in person
- Genuinely care about patients and enjoy a varied, multi-faceted role
Details about our CMA position:
- Pay: Up to $26/hour depending on experience
- Hours: 2 days per week; 16 hours, schedule provided in advance with no weekends or nights
- Benefits: No health insurance (we’re a small business), but the cost of living in the Ellsworth area is very manageable
- COVID vaccination required
